Barclay’s Capital is a major player in the financial trading market with their global dealing rooms linked via their own network cabling & IT equipment system.
The security required to ensure the absolute performance of the network has proven to be an engineering challenge with regard all possibilities of failure to be accounted.
The IT equipment room although only 30 sq.m. in area has equipment worth many hundreds of thousands of UK £s. All possible failure occurrences have been considered, to be monitored and issue an alarm status for immediate response.
Redundancy with Controlled Air Environment Equipment, Uninterruptable and Generator Power Supplies, together with Water Leak Detection and Gas Flooding Fire Protection, allows for a totally secure performance and protection environment for the Equipment.
EEC Lincolne Scott designed the protection circuitry and action logic to provide the client with the security of an extremely reliable service.
The total area of the trading facility including the Dealers Room and General Office is 440 sq.m.
All engineering services including Essential Power Supplies, Fire Protection and Air Conditioning were designed and construction supervised by EEC Lincolne Scott.
